These two young cats from Seattle are definitely bringing a different sort of local vibe than we’re used to. If you’ve been keeping your ears to the ground, there’s definitely been a recent resurgence of good hip-hop that’s sort of floating between the mainstream and underground, which can be, in this humble reader’s opinion, attributed to a shift in music production mentality. That is, different approaches are always good.
We heard about these kids on one of our go-to sources for new music, Audacity of Dope. Brothers from Another, hailing from the 206 are definitely reflecting that laid-back west coast mentality- just cruisin and chillin but packing some seriously dope rhymes. And honestly, the tracks off of their first release are all about that west coast ambience and atmosphere.
Hit this up for their free album, Two Weeks Vacation. This is definitely some shit to cruise to.
