David Choe and Facebook

I’m searching frantically for that one video of David Choethe creator of the original fail whale, back in like ’03-’04, where you can tell there is just a quiet storm brewing in this guy. Back then, this guy was showing off some wildly drawn classical nudes and now look at him, just sold a painting to Mark Zuckerberg (for an undisclosed amount)

If you haven’t seen this, take a look at this trailer for Choe’s film entitled Dirty Hands. This guy has such raw, animalistic style, a lot of depth in his characters and the color and line compositions are a reflection of years of scrawling figures at high speed and perfecting that Choe “wildstyle.” Keep on killin, David.
